The Area

Blouberg beach conservation area, unique flora and fauna, golf, sea sports, mountain trekking, winelands, local shops, restaurants and bars, Cape Town centre.

La Paloma is a new development of luxury houses built next to the Blouberg beach conservation area, fifteen minutes north of Cape Town on the Atlantic coast side of the Western Cape. The beach is a protected area of outstanding beauty, hosting miles of indigenous fynbos, the Cape’s uniquely diverse flora, and home to a range of bird and animal life. Regular visitors include the whales, seals and cormorants who consider this stretch of the beach their own!

For the sporting visitor, Atlantic beach golf club is just next door to La Paloma. Temporary golf passes can be arranged for golf enthusiasts during their stay. The beach is a favourite haunt of windsurfers, kite surfers and all those who seek kicks on the waves, while treks up Table Mountain are a must for anyone wanting more exercise than the cablecar trip can offer.

The famous winelands of Stellenbosch are a short 40 minute drive away...tours with drivers can be easily arranged for those wishing to take in a day of tasting!

Back at La Paloma, the local shops, restaurants and bars can be found just minutes away at both Blouberg and Melkbos. Blouberg is home to some exceptional eateries including Ons Huise, The Blouberg Café, The Blue Peter and On The Rocks, while Melkbos is home to The Orca Café and a small range of shops and grocery stores. Cape Town, with its unrivalled choice of musical, culinary, fashion and leisure pursuits is just a fifteen minute drive away.
